Euphrates River Shrinking?

Is is true that the Euphrates River is shrinking? At least this is what it reads and appears in a picture and article in a New York Times page in Digg.

My attention was caught by the picture because it was really something else for many people who have been using the river as a source of livelihood.

The river is also one of the oldest historical rivers in the world back from the time of Christ. You can see the photo of shrinking Euphrates River so as to believe that it is happening now.

Global warming is really the biggest enemy of today's generation and we cannot fight it alone, so we all have to realize first that this is a global concern before it's too late.

Look at the different viruses and diseased that have evolved from a less harmful type to the most lethal type like the A(H1N1)Virus which was declared to be a pandemic disease by the World Health Organization.
