Talk n Text applied the brakes on Rain or Shine, keeping pace with Alaska Milk in their hot charge
in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup elimination round Sunday.

The Tropang Texters went on a rampage in the final half and broke away from a tight game en route to
a 99-78 win over the erstwhile unbeaten Elasto Painters.

“We caught a big break with Hassam Adams getting hurt and taking a rest. We had a hard time
against him,” said Talk n Text coach Chot Reyes.

“When they sat him down, we made our move. Our guys stepped up big time,” added Reyes, elated
they kept their streak in the absence of core players Jared Dillinger and Jason Castro.
