Today is the fight of Marvelous Marvin Sonsona vs Jose Carita Lopez for the WBO bamtamweight crown which the latter holds. Lopez is a veteran fighter as Sonsona from the Philippines only has 13 fights from which 12 of them were all knockouts not surpassing the 5th round.
This kid Sonsona who hails from General Santos City just like Manny Pacquiao is now going to fight for glory knowing he is very young at only 19 years old compared to Lopez who is already 37. This is also the first defense of Jose Lopez for a newly acquired WBO crown. The fight is scheduled on September 4,2009 (U.S. time) and September 5,2009 (Philippine time) and will be live telecast via CS 9 channel.
