Whoever will steam money from the deserving people of the Philippines especially those were true victims of the recent calamity that typhoon Ondoy has lunged upon us will suffer their whole life with an unending ache in the heart and mind. This is what a neighbor of mine said to me today when the news last night was the regular topic of discussion about the newly approved 12 billion calamity budget.
Nobody seems to put any full trust in the current government anymore because the people have seen what it is capable of doing behind their eyes and without them knowing it. It is obvious but there were no proof at all.
Those people in the government responsible for stealing money from the people's treasury is and will be dealth with in time. They may have gotten away with their sins today here in the mortal land but in heaven, we all will have our satisfaction. (A popular similar note from a speech by the late and great Ninoy Aquino)
My neighbor said somewhere in the middle of the discussion, "mahiya naman sila. Maaaring hindi natin makita o malaman kung nanakawin o ninakaw nila ang pera natin ngunit sa huli, babagsak din ang mga taong yan na wala ng mga konsensya". In english this means "shame on those who steal, we might not see it or know if they have stolen from us but in the end, they will all fall... all those who do not have the conscience".
