Manila City Hall civil registry office is one of the headlines in the recent news. That is, because the civil registry hard copy archives of their marriage certificates and birth certificates were said to have been soaked in flood waters of typhoon Ondoy.
It was reported in TV Patrol and other news channels in the Philippines. Meanwhile, what the different staff of the office is doing is they borrowed an oven with which they can dry out the documents / papers but according to a staff, it is causing the papers to go moist so instead, they resorted to exposing the documents under the sun and then ironing them straight.
There is a message placed near their office today in Manila City Hall stating and asking the people to bear with the current delay in handling their records and documents because of the incident.
